I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Ph.D. in Psychology with a research background in social cognition, specifically nonverbal behavior. During my doctorate, I was a teaching assistant and tutor on subjects such as Introduction to Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Social Psychology, and Statistical Methods for Psychologists using SPSS. I have worked in the educational and IT industry in various roles, spanning from project management to teaching to organizational psychology, and human resources. My professional goal is to combine these experiences and knowledge to help organizations problem solve and optimize their process. Moreover, I have a passion for empowering and educating others, especially youths to better understand the world and themselves. I plan lessons based on the syllabus that the students require so that it remains relevant to them by using textbooks, academic journal articles, videos, and quizzes. Additionally, I am a big believer in building the confidence and critical thinking skills of my students. When I say confidence, I mean confidence in the students themselves and confidence to ask questions, to voice out their opinions on the topic as these are critical skills for the workplace. As mentioned above, I was a teaching assistant and tutor during my doctorate to undergraduate students in the following subjects: Introduction to Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Social Psychology, and Statistical Methods for Psychologists using SPSS. I tutored groups of 12-15 pax of undergraduate students who took Introduction to Developmental Psychology and Introduction to Social Psychology as elective modules. I worked with the students on their essays and revision for the final exam.
