I am Wen Hsien, 27 years old, and currently work as Secondary Mathematics Teacher at International school. I am dedicated to teach students since my master degree. I am being assigned as a Mathematics Tutor in UNIMAS for 1 year and half. The courses included Mathematics for Economics, Algebra and Calculus, and Business Mathematics. When I see my students able to achieve their examinations, I will feel proud and that is the meaningful of life. I love Mathematics. I also have been worked as part time tuition teacher in Ipoh for Form 2 and Form 3 Mathematics subject before taking the current job. Currently, I am teaching Year 7 to Year 9 Mathematics subject in school, and I have used to the online teaching throughout the MCO period in Malaysia. I will plan my lesson weekly, and homework assigned to student is a must. As Mathematics is all about to practice, students have to complete the assignments. I used to give examples when I am teaching. As more examples given, they can get the way on how to solve the questions in upcoming exercises. Subsequently, I will provide some additional notes and relevant link of YouTube videos to student after the lesson, in case they need to revise in further after my lesson. After they had done their homework, I will discuss all the questions with them. For continuous assessment, I will mark and discuss with student together with my own-created marking scheme provided step-by-step solutions in detail. I also will highlight the points on how to attempt the question by avoiding the unnecessary mistakes. I will let students know the technique on answering questions based on my experience throughout my study and teaching life. I have been engaged in teaching students Mathematics subjects since my master degree in UNIMAS. Each class composed of 25-35 undergraduate students. The tutorial exercises assigned to them will be composed of different levels, from basic to critical-thinking questions. I will discuss the answers with them for every lesson and ensure they understand my lesson. For those questions which students are weak, I will specifically focus on explaining it through few examples. I also offer students consultation hours, 1 to 1, guiding them. Furthermore, I also engaged as a part time tuition teacher. Some students are very weak, but it does not stop me to teach. The only key is 'patience'. Currently, I am a secondary mathematics teacher for Year 8 - Year 9. I am also a homeroom teacher for Year 9. I have much experience on online teaching throughout the MCO period, as we will conduct the class on daily basis.
