I earned a MA in International Relations at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, having initially bagged a BSc in Political Science at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. Aside being a lecturer and researcher, the experience of also being a freelance political consultant and analyst has made me, beyond theory, understand the practical aspect of politics. I consult for high-profile politicians, foretell the outcome of elections, and analyze for media platforms. These engagements have exceptionally enriched my ability to teach resourcefully. I endeavor to create a learning environment that accommodates the needs of my individual students while still promoting a high level of critical thought and comprehension. I am committed to a multidimensional approach to scholarship and learning. I teach from the theoretical, practical and empirical contexts; imparting the creativity and skills needed for the students to always attain excellence in their endeavors. I have 5 years’ experience of teaching in teenage, undergraduate and adult classes. I started my career by lecturing in an adult education institute for a year; thereafter taught post-secondary, university preparatory class for two years; and was a teaching assistant in the first 2 years of my doctoral study. Beyond teaching, I am also versed in leading discussion sessions; providing student and learning support services; advising students on appropriate research topics; evaluating their work; and providing formative feedback.
