About Me: Experienced and passionate biotechnologist with a strong scientific and technical knowledge of plant molecular biology and tissue culture. I graduated from University of Malaya as a Doctorate in Biotechnology field. I gained knowledge on plant genetic engineering and plant tissue culture since I did my Bachelor Degree study at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM Kuantan Campus). Besides learning the theory, I'm glad that I have experienced working in the lab and understand on how plant genetic engineering works. I further expand this plant molecular genetics and tissue culture knowledge when I was in University Malaya. The learning process is not just focus on the books, but it covers from A-Z especially during my post graduate study. Therefore, I hope Biotechnology field can be one of attractive subject for university student because we still need Biology and Technology (Biotechnology) as one of potential trend to shape and drive the world, but to be specific, Malaysia. About My Lesson: As an ex-biotechnology student, I do realize the struggle to understand different topics in Biotechnology. Learning Biotechnology subject is not by reading a lot of books, however, the most important is to experience it technically. In other words, students may learn it in different ways, for eg: by hands-on, extract information from Applied Science and Biotechnology journal, gain additional info from internet, make a group discussion on a certain topic, explore current Biotechnology situation in Malaysia and other countries and thus open their eye on how far the impact and application of Biotechnology in their life.
