Since my PhD study was fully funded by the university and government grant (FRGS), I had the opportunity to experience both the research and work environment. Apart from my research study, I had to conduct a 4 hr tutorial class per week to Curtin’s degree students and to guide my PhD supervisor’s FYP students every semester. I am familiar with most of the engineering related discipline characterization techniques, as well as drafting and computer applications. Within the 3.5 years of postgraduate study, I managed to produce 1 patent, 3 journal publications, 1 book chapter, 3 conference papers, and one of the conference paper was awarded as the Best Paper Award. Meanwhile, I love tackling challenging problems, and keen to apply my engineering research background to address higher-level business problems and put forth creative solutions. I am drawn to management consulting for the opportunity to use my analytical skills and creativity to help businesses identify and resolve key pain points. I enjoy close interaction with clients and creating dynamic solutions tailored to their specific needs. Reinforced classroom learning with additional discussion and specially prepared problems. Built student self-confidence by working through concepts and using positive reinforcement techniques. Instituted new approaches to teaching Linear Algebra to students, resulting in improved test scores and passing rate. Guided a total of 124 students in multiple subjects within 2 years period. Mentored new tutors and coached on successful tutoring strategies. Promote student confidence and academic success through hands-on tutoring and individualized support. Expertise in Membrane Technology and skilled at sharing knowledge, concepts, and abilities with students of all ability levels. A passionate and highly motivated individual that able to cooperate with team and work individually.
