FATIN NADIAH

I am a graduate student from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam campus in Master of Science in Applied Mathematics . I am passionate about work especially in teaching. During my studies year, I have always help my friends with subjects that they find it difficult to understand. I believe that being an educator is best suited to me because I like to teach and help someone who has a problem with his/her study. Besides, I also have many teaching experiences and my last job is as a Part Time Full Time (PTFT) lecturer at UiTM Pahang, Raub Campus. I enjoyed working with other team members, organized and take pride with my work. I am friendly, responsible, independent and a multitasking person. I am willing to learn new things and gain new experience if I were given the opportunity. I believe that in learning mathematics, it is important to attract students and assist their ability to be active learners in class. In order to accomplish this, I use an interactive teaching approach depend on the use of several different teaching methods, as I believe learning process only occurs when students are fully involved in it. These methods include lecture, open discussions, in-class activities and presentations. In class, I keep monitoring every student having everyone work by themselves and never be passive to them. No matter the method, to fully engage the students I believe it is important to convey my own passion for the material. It is my interest, preparation, and knowledge that motivate interest among the students. I have many teaching experiences and my last job is as a Part Time Full Time (PTFT) lecturer at UiTM Pahang, Raub Campus. I give lecture to diploma Part 1 and Part 3 students for Mathematics subject which are Discrete Mathematics and Business Mathematics. I have been there for two semester. Before that, I had been teaching at primary school as replacement teacher for almost 2 months. I taught Malay language, English language and Mathematics.
