My name is Fariza , 30 years old. Graduated from UiTM (Diploma & Bachelor degree in Medical Lab Technology) and from UKM, for Master in Health Science (Biomedical Science). I am currently continuing my postgraduate study in Biomedical Science, in UKM,KL. I have a year experience in teaching Biomedical degree student at a private university college, in Microbiology and Biochemistry. I prepared exam questions and practical exam questions myself. I also prepared the laboratory manual for practical purposes. I can refer to my previous study plan for the Bachelor degree student, for Mirobiology subject. After 3-4 lesson, its good to give them some quizzes or test, so they can be prepared on the final exam. Lab manuals are crucial as Microbiology main part was the lab part. its good to refer to the Youtube video, if its difficult for them to attend the lab session. From my past experiences, students got more understanding in Microbiology after a lab session and discussion on a certain subjects they dont quite understand. Its important for them to understand the concept than memorize word by word from the notes. Usually for student in 3rd year, i'll give them a situation rather than a direct questions in understanding Microbiology, with this they got more comfortable and can relate them to the working field, or during their internship.
