I am Adeline A/P A. Joseph and had completed my tertiary education in Linguistics of Malay Language at the University of Malaya and internship at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Segar as a Malay Language and History subject teacher. I will be graduating in October 2020.
I have experience in the field of teaching for 5 years and I have taught primary, secondary and pre-university (STPM) students in a variety of class settings from the year 2014 until now. I had engaged myself in community service for the past 5 years as a teacher for children from needy backgrounds. I gained valuable knowledge in observing and educating all types of students, which makes me realize the importance of a teacher and it makes a vast difference in a student’s life. As a former volunteer teacher, I have completed one year and a half of teaching pre-school children, both normal and special need children in Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, Kuala Lumpur. Being a volunteer there made me realize my passion to guide and educate these children more. I have gained the experiences of a lot by teaching these students and this really brings satisfaction when it further improves their life.
In 2016, I also had a wonderful experience when I joined the community service (Smart Tutor) programme at the University of Malaya as a teacher where we provide free tuition classes for PT3 and SPM candidates from needy backgrounds because they too deserve to be successful. I feel proud when all of my students attracted by my teaching skills and methods which led them to achieve A+ and A grades for the subjects that I taught such as History and Bahasa Malaysia. I make sure all of my students fully understand the lessons that I taught before continuing to the next topic. One of the methods that I usually include in my teaching skills is educational - related games, so that the students participate more during the lessons and preventing them from getting bored with the same way of teaching.
